Preventative Maintenance
We have two levels of HVAC preventative maintenance. Their distinctive scopes of coverage are as follows:

Good: Customized Professional Maintenance 3 (the "C-3")

TEST AND INSPECT maintenance. Provided by the majority of HVAC service companies, this includes verification of operation and proper refrigerant charge, as well as the testing for worn and/or failed parts. Filter changes are included.

Best: Customized Professional Maintenance 2 (the "C-2")

Energy Star recognized, comprehensive PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE.
Maintenance tasks above the C-3, such as: cleaning of coil surfaces and condensate pans, calibrating operating and safety controls, lubrication of motors, tightening of electrical connections, and painting for corrosion control. This program is designed specifically to protect the homeowner's investment by extending the HVAC equipment's useful life, maximizing operating efficiency, and reducing operating costs by as much as 10-30%. This maintenance program even exceeds the ASHRAE "Standard 180" protocol for commercial equipment, endorsed by Southern California Edison.
